2003 Eastern Sectional Pewter Medalist
Megan Williams-Stewart, of Ellicot City, MD, was born on June 27, 1987. Her mother was a speed skater, and Williams-Stewart began skating at age three. Currently, Priscilla Hill, Jeff Merica, Jeff DiGregorio coach her, although she also works with Jerry Renaud on her spins. Hill and Chris Conte choreograph her programs, and Brad Griffies designs her dresses. She skates for the River’s Edge FSC and trains at the University of DE.
Her favorite jumps are double axels and triple loops, and her favorite skater is Johnny Weir. In the 2002-2003 season, Williams Stewart hopes to place in the top three at Nationals, and to compete in the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Williams-Stewart says that she loves because “even through the hard times, once you get past them, you feel like you've accomplished something.”
