Sara Wheat > Senior Ladies
1999 US National Junior Ladies Champion

Born on June 27, 1984 in Trenton, NJ, Sara Wheat began skating competitively at age nine. Wheat, 5'4", now lives in Swedesboro, NJ, and trains in Newark, DE with Pam Duane Gregory and Ron Ludington, while Leann Miller and Jeri Campbell choreograph her programs. Wheat represents the University of Delaware FSC and attends Keystone National High School.

Her favorite skaters are Michelle Kwan, Dorothy Hamill and Kurt Browning. Wheat says she enjoys skating because she likes "getting better each day and just being out there jumping high."

Off the ice, she enjoys biking, rollerblading, sculpting clay, as well as working at the local country store. She is known as "Wheatie" to her friends, and hopes to pursue a career in elementary education in the future.
