Flo Steed & Augie Hill > Junior Dance (Partnership Dissolved)
2003 US National Junior Dance Bronze Medalists

For Augie Hill and his ice dance partner Flo Steed, winning comes naturally. Hill isn’t the only champion skater in his family—his siblings Lizzy, Katy, and Charlie have all competed in the sport, and Katy even represented the U.S. internationally with her former partner Benjamin Agosto. Steed’s family members are also interested in sports, playing football, golf, and soccer. But at the rate they’re going, the two young ice dancers may wind up as the most accomplished athletes in their families.

In their first two seasons together Steed and Hill have achieved strong finishes in the U.S. novice and junior events, and they did just as well in their recent international debut. In their early days of competition, though, the two were competitors rather than allies. They both skated in the 1998 Junior Olympics intermediate event with former partners. Now that they’ve become a team, the couple is coached by Warren and Olivia Maxwell in Plano, TX.

Steed, who began skating at age 7, was born September 16, 1985, in New Orleans, La. She now resides in Houston, TX, and represents the Texas Gulf Coast FSC. The Shepton High School student has earned academic honors and plans to attend college someday. She also enjoys dancing off the ice, in ballet classes. Hill was born August 28, 1985, and began skating at age four. His interest in the sport extends beyond his competitive career: he lists coaching as an eventual goal. He grew up in the Chicago area and still represents the Skokie Valley Skating Club. Among his off-ice hobbies is an interest in computers, and he attends Plano West High School.
