2000 Four Continents Championships Silver Medalist

Stacey Elizabeth Pensgen, of Fairport, NY, was born on May 25, 1982 in Rochester, NY. She began skating at age six and competed in both singles and pairs before stopping competing in 2004. Known for her beautiful triple lutz and backflip, she represented the Genesee FSC and trained in Colorado Springs, CO and Bloomfield Hills, MI with Diane Ronayne, Sergey Petrovsky and Richard Callaghan. Her choreographer was Olga Volozhinskaya.

Pensgen had previously competed in pairs with her brother, but stopped after winning the silver medal at Junior Nationals at the Intermediate level when he stopped skating. In 2003, Pensgen returned to pairs, competing with Derek Trent at the senior level.

Beginning in the fall of 2004, Pensgen will coach and attend SUNY Brockport, studying meteorology. She studied for two years at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
