2003 US National Silver Medalists

Kathryn Orscher, of Glastonbury, CT, and better known as Katie, began skating at age six. She was born on June 18, 1984, in Hartford, CT, and represents the SC of Hartford. As a singles skater, Orscher won the bronze medal in Junior Ladies at 2000 US Nationals, and competed twice internationally, winning the gold medal at Triglav Trophy in April 2000 before retiring from singles to concentrate on pairs. She is 5’1.”

Garret Lucash, 5’10,” is from Granby, CT. He skates for the Charter Oak FSC, and was born in Attleboro, MA on September 21, 1978. He began skating at age eight, and enjoys listening to trance club music, sports cars, going to the movies and riding rollercoasters. He works as a trance DJ, coaches at the International Skating Center of Connecticut, and runs the Cutting Edge Music Studio, a music editing company.

Orscher & Lucash train in Simsbury, CT. Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova coach them, while Naumov, Nikolai Morozov and Nina Petrenko do their choreography. They competed on the senior Grand Prix circuit in the 2002-2003 season, finishing 7th at both Skate America and Skate Canada.
