Natalie Mecher > Junior Ladies
2003 US National Junior Ladies Silver Medalist

Natalie Mecher of Waukegan, IL, was born on December 2, 1987. She trains in Vernon Hills, IL, with Alexander Ouriashev, who is also her choreographer. (She also works with Rob Peal for choreography.) She represents the Wagon Wheel FSC. She began skating at the age of three, and credits her older sister, Allison, who inspired her to skate, for having the greatest impact on her career thus far. Her nickname is "Nat-Bat."

Mecher, currently in eighth grade, is a high honors student, and attends school full time at the St. Anastasia School. She also enjoys swimming, music (she plays the guitar), dance, reading, shopping, and art.

Sasha Cohen is Mecher's favorite skater. Mecher likes triple toe loop jumps and deathdrop spins. She says "I love the challenge of working hard to get a new jump."
