Adriana DeSanctis > Junior Dance
2002 US National Junior Ladies Pewter Medalist

Adriana DeSanctis was born on June 18, 1988, in Philadelphia, PA, and began skating at age six by taking part in a USFSA Basic Skills program. The 4'9" skater is originally from Trenton, NJ, and represents the Glissad Academy at Ice Land in Hamilton, NJ, where her former coach, Allison Cattani, is based.

DeSanctis is coached by Robert Tebby at Doug Leigh's Mariposa School of Skating in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. At 2002 US Nationals, DeSanctis won the pewter (4th place) medal in Junior Ladies and will make her debut in the Junior Grand Prix series this fall (2003). She won gold medals at her two previous international (novice) competitions in 2001 -- Triglav Trophy and North American Challenge Skate.

DeSanctis attends Allandale Heights School, where she has has received academic honors. She credits her parents for having had the greatest impact on her skating. In the future, she would either like to study fashion design or work as a coach or choreographer.
