Samantha Claire Cepican, of Downers Grove, IL, was born on July 4th, 1986, in Hillside, IL. She began skating at age four after watching her older sister, Krisse, skate. Cepican started ice dancing at age eleven. She also competed with the Chicago Jazz Synchronized Skating Team at the Novice level. Her favorite skaters are Belbin & Agosto, Lindsey Weber, Dan Hollander and Seitz & Seitz. She skates for the Sokie Valley SC and is 5’2”. Cepican likes dancing ballet, jazz, Japanese anime and drawing.

Phillip Lichtor was born on March 1, 1983 in Chicago. He began skating at age eight after seeing a performance of Stars on Ice, and has also competed in freestyle. His favorite skaters are Torvill & Dean, Sarah Hughes, Kurt Browning, Braden Overett, Elvis Stojko, and Yamaguchi & Galindo. Lichtor, who attends the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, enjoys juggling, reading and swing dancing. Lichtor is 5’8” and skates for the Dupage FSC.

Cepican & Lichtor train at the Skating Club of Boston (after relocating from Bolingbrook, IL so Lichtor could attend M.I.T.). Ron Kravette is their coach and Mae Davis choreographs their programs. Karen Cullian is their off-ice trainer.
