When and how did you being skating?
I started skating at age five. I was watching Nancy Kerrigan skate and immediately started trying to do jumps on the ground. My dad first put me on the ice during public sessions. Finally I got a coach -- Jackie took me, and she has been my one and only coach for 11 years!
What are your goals, both for this season and long-term?
My goals are making Nationals and using my God-given talent to the fullest by skating my best. My off-ice goals are finishing high school and going to college (Oklahoma State University).
Who has been the great influence on you in terms of skating?
My parents, my awesome coach Jackie, my departed grandparents and God.
Who are your favorite skaters?
Alexei Yagudin because of his power and determination on the ice.
What is your favorite jump, spin and connecting move?
Double axel, butterfly, Annie’s edges.
Are you moving up to the Senior level in the 2003-04 season?
Yes. [Editor’s Note: Stucks finished 4th in Senior Ladies at Skate Chautauqua, August 14-16, 2003, in Jamestown, NY.]
What should we look for in your programs this season?
I’m exploring a classical side of my skating. Improvement of line, edge quality and presentation.
What are some of your off-ice hobbies?
I’m involved with my youth group. Also playing basketball, hanging out with my friends, driving my truck and listening to music.
What do you love about skating?
I love the thrill of competing!
