Stephanie Roth Journal (07/15/02) by Stephanie Roth
Exclusive to Unseen Skaters. July 15, 2002.
Hi everyone, I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to write a new journal entry. I finally finished up summer semester the last week of June and was so stoked to get an A in my class. I'm usually a straight B student so this was a nice break of that cycle. Anyway, I've been skating a ton this summer, and I'm honestly looking forward more to the fall competitions than I am to Liberty this weekend! Since it's my first competition since the end of November I'm pretty nervous, but I'm not going to worry about my placement at all. I'm going there for myself to get my feet underneath me and get some confidence for the upcoming season. I'm definitely concerned about getting feedback on my new programs and getting a chance to see them on video. I've been staying pretty healthy despite a little back problem I suffered in early June. This was why I couldn't compete at New Jersey Councils. My back has given my trouble ever since I double fractured it when I was 12, so anytime it starts to bother me, we take it seriously and see a chiropractor whenever it starts to hurt again. It almost always results in rest for a few days. It didn't really make much of a difference with me withdrawing because so did the two other girls in my group! As of right now, I'm definitely doing Middle Atlantics in September and one other competition, but I'm not sure if it will be Cranberry in Massachusetts or Challenge Cup in Pennsylvania. I don't have too much time to decide because the applications are due soon, but it will definitely be one of the two of them, and by then I hope to have my new dresses. I hope everyone is having a great summer and that you all had a Happy 4th! Talk to you again soon ... Love,
